Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Following her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan donnevan starred in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte played Taffin (in the year 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to the profession of commercial modeling. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. After being spotted by to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 most promising actors from 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the character Doody was - and remains one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took probably her most high-profile part in her career in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's wife and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. Doody acted alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 television movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet on the Holocaust and in the British TV program Waking the Dead (in a two-part series known as.
