Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Following her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan donnevan starred in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte played Taffin (in the year 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to the profession of commercial modeling. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took probably her most high-profile part in her career in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce.
